Y&R Alums Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas Are Married!
On May 16, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alums Justin Hartley (ex-Adam) and Sofia Pernas (ex-Marisa) made their official red-carpet debut as a couple at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. But posing together for photographers at the awards ceremony wasn’t just the pair’s coming out as an official couple: It was also their coming out as newlyweds! According to People, the couple “recently” tied the knot!
Rumors that the pair had gotten hitched began circulating earlier this month when they were spotted on the beach in Malibu, each wearing a band on their left ring finger. When the newlyweds arrived at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday, their rings could be spotted as they posed together on the red carpet! Hartley and Pernas began dating last spring but largely kept their romance under wraps. However, the sweethearts made their relationship “Instagram official” with coordinating New Year’s Eve posts in January.
Hartley — who left Y&R to join the cast of the hit NBC drama THIS IS US — was previously married to Chrishell Stause (ex-Bethany, Y&R; ex-Jordan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; Amanda, ALL MY CHILDREN) as well as his PASSIONS leading lady Lindsay Hartley, who played Theresa to his Fox. Stause and Hartley’s divorce was finalized in November 2020, and the actor shares a teenage daughter, Isabella, with his first wife.
In addition to THIS IS US, which will end with its upcoming sixth season, Hartley has gone on to star in A Bad Moms Christmas and Little since exiting Y&R. For her part, Pernas stars on the CBS adventure series BLOOD & TREASURE.
