THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Alum Max Page Hospitalized Again
Please join us in sending love and wishes for a speedy recovery for former THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS child star Max Page (ex-Reed), who is back in the hospital again. “Well, here we are in a familiar place, the Children’s Hospital L.A.,” his mother shared on Instagram. “Max is experiencing sporadic fevers and is also facing another surgery to replace his leads and pacemaker.
“It’s a tricky surgery due to scar tissue build up so we are ready to engage everyone for prayers,” she continued. “Max’s request is a no fever day! We have our focus board started. Max is focusing on Trust, Worship, and Peace… the kind only the Lord can pour down.”
Born with a congenital heart defect, Page has undergone over a dozen different surgeries and procedures over the years. His most recent surgery was in December 2020 when he had his pacemaker replaced. The young actor, who is in his final year of high school, is an advocate for children’s health issues, even speaking before Congress. “I want the senators to put a face to children’s health care,” Page said in 2017 while speaking in Washington, D.C. “I tell them my story. What surgeries I have had, and how much I needed my doctors now and in the future.”
“This came out of the blue, so we are still getting our footing,” Max’s mom added. “But we know we aren’t alone and we are grateful. My prayer as a mama is Max can heal quickly and get back to his senior year! But until then, we will take it as it comes. We will post when we know more.”
Page played Victoria and J.T.’s son, Reed Hellstrom, on Y&R as a child from 2009-15, and is also fondly remembered as the little Darth Vader in the popular 2013 Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial. Although he has been focusing more on his school in recent years, Page has continued to work, appearing in the 2019 horror movie Between the Darkness.
We wish Max a smooth operation and a speedy recovery and look forward to the next positive update we can share on SoapsInDepth.com.
