Happy Birthday to GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Ryan Paevey — See His Most Incredible Adventures
Please join us in sending best wishes to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan), who is celebrating his birthday today, Sept. 24! The California native grew up running track and surfing, never even considering a career in entertainment until he was scouted by a modeling agency.
Working in construction and tending bar, Paevey eventually took one of the modeling gigs which led to appearing in ads for Izod clothing and Corona beer among others. He also appeared in the 2012 Christina Aguilera music video for “Your Body.” Then, in December of 2013, Paevey was cast as Detective Nathan West on GH, affectionately nicknamed “Detective Sexypants,” and his acting career was officially launched.
During his time on GH, Paevey moonlighted in the occasional movie, including the romantic Hallmark flicks Unleashing Mr. Darcy, Harvest Love, and Marrying Mr. Darcy. And after deciding to leave GH in early 2018, the actor has continued to work, filming even more TV movies, the most recent being Christmas at the Plaza, airing this Thanksgiving!
Paevey also creates handmade jewelry and runs a website called Fortunate Wanderer where he sells the pieces he makes as well as prints of his photography. An avid outdoorsman, Paevey has taken some absolutely spectacular shots.
Check out some of Paevey’s incredible adventures in the special gallery below!
