Dominic Zamprogna’s Family Rescues a Sweet Baby Bird!

A broken-winged bird cannot fly. Neither can a sweet baby raven who is abandoned and covered in bugs! But the latter is exactly what GENERAL HOSPITAL star Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and his family found in their yard a few days ago! Moved to take care of the injured animal found among the leaves and covered in tiny ants, the GH actor had some assistance from his three young daughters — Anbilliene, Eliana, and Adeline — to rescue the baby raven.

“We found a sweet little bird in the yard yesterday,” Zamprogna shared on Instagram. “He was covered in ants and was looking like he wasn’t gonna make it.”

Thankfully, after the little raven was discovered by the family, Pasadena Humane took over the care of the bird and he began to thrive! “24 hours later, he’s up and walking and is now being looked after by the Pasadena Humane wildlife department,” Zamprogna wrote. “Hope LilHala (as named by my girls) makes it!”

The Zamprogna family received some virtual high-fives for their good deed from the actor’s GH family, like Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix), who reacted to the post with a double-heart emoji, and Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) who commented with a compassionate, “Awe.”

Pasadena Humane even started an Instagram account for LilHala, sharing videos of the baby raven’s road to recovery. At the time this story was posted, there was a video from when the Zamprogna family found him, two of him wrapped in a towel, and one where he’s being hand-fed by one of the employees with a tiny medicine dropper. “I’m finally warm, comfortable, and fed!” said LilHala in a post written by the wildlife department.
