Florida Fans Can “Bet” On Finola Hughes!

Fans of Finola Hughes (Anna, GH) in the Fort Lauderdale area may be able to catch a glimpse of the actress at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival on Friday, October 25. The actress will be there for a screening of her film, The Bet, which she directed. The film’s story is about family members searching for love as they ready themselves for the next chapter in their lives.

“I’ll be picked up by the airport by Kin Shriner (Scotty),” Hughes says. Hmm, given what we know about Shriner’s sense of adventure, does Hughes believe that she’ll get to the festival? “I’m in charge of that,” she chuckles, adding, “Kin’s a great guy!” (We couldn’t agree more!)

Hughes adds that she’s already thinking about her next film, which will likely be a comedy. “That’s all I think about,” she says. “I have [something] in the pipeline. It’s a romantic comedy. I’d like to stick with those for now even though I know I have a love of drama in me.”
