GENERAL HOSPITAL Preempted For Muhammad Ali Memorial
Unfortunately, GENERAL HOSPITAL will be preempted today!
Because so many stations plan to pre-empt the soap for live coverage of the Muhammad Ali memorial service, Nathan Varni, ABC’s Manager, Current Programming, posted to Facebook that they made the decision to pre-empt GH nationally so no one would miss the episode.
“After much discussion, we all think the episode that was scheduled to air on Friday is an important episode and we want to make sure all GH viewers get to watch it without interruption. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to showing this episode in its entirety on Monday!”

Any markets that do run GH today will be airing an encore episode. And what’s so important about this particular episode that they wanted to make sure fans don’t miss a moment of it? Parry Shen (Brad) tweeted out the most likely answer…
Oops, correction due to pre-emption. So, now Mon, Jun 13th's #GH! 3rd time's a charm. #Brucas @RyanCarnes1 pic.twitter.com/nywr7mW2wO

So be sure to set your DVR’s accordingly, and tune in Monday for the big day! Also, remember that this will shift previously announced airdates, so for instance, you can now look forward to Ingo Rademacher (Jax) returning on Monday, August 1!
