Actor Jonathan Bennett is currently playing Sir Robin in the Broadway production of Spamalot, but most fans probably know him best as Aaron Samuels in the 2004 movie Mean Girls. Although ABC soap fans will remember him as one of the JR Chandlers on ALL MY CHILDREN, the role that kicked off his career. However, another important role for Bennett is that of husband and on March 19, he celebrated his second wedding anniversary with Jaymes Vaughan.

Bennett shared a video featuring clips from their 2022 nuptials at the Unico Riviera Maya Hotel in Mexico set to “Our Song,” performed by Vaughan himself. “Two years ago today, we became Bennett Vaughan,” he captioned the video. “Two years ago today, I married my best friend. Two years ago today, we were surrounded by the people we love most to celebrate. Two years ago today, I became the luckiest man alive.

“People ask what has changed since getting married?” he continued. “The answer is everything. The world became brighter. I didn’t know it was possible to feel this loved and supported. Happy Year 2, Jaymes — and we are just getting started…”

Over on his own Instagram, Vaughan shared his own thoughts about tying the knot. “For as long as I can remember I used to dream about marrying my husband and what it would feel like to find my forever person,” he wrote. “Two years in I can honestly say it is way better than anything I ever dreamed of. I get to wake up every day with my best friend, my practical jokester, my soulmate.

“Growing up gay, so many hateful things got put into my head that really messed up what I thought love was,” he added. “I thought love was supposed to hurt me… so I let it. Then, my person came long and slowly and carefully fixed all that… he showed me what love is actually supposed to be. It’s uplifting, it’s safe, it’s consistent… it never hurts you. In fact, it heals you. I love you, Jonathan. Happy Anniversary, my prince. Thank you for being my one. Forever.”

Please join us in congratulating the happy couple on their second anniversary and sending them best wishes for many more to come!
