Calista on DAYS OF OUR LIVES may be a new character but the face might be familiar to ABC soap fans! Actress Cady Huffman makes her debut on DAYS in the Aug. 27 episode, returning to daytime after more than a decade. Back in 2006, she took over the role of Dr. Paige Miller on ONE LIFE TO LIVE from Kimberlin Brown. In addition to primetime appearances in series like FRASIER, MAD ABOUT YOU, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, and THE GOOD WIFE, the actress is also well-known for her Broadway credits, including La Cage aux Folles, The Will Rogers Follies, and her Tony-winning turn in The Producers.

Calista Lockhart is the sister-in-law of Bonnie Lockhart, and she arrived in Salem to confront her for killing her brother, Harrison! Bonnie denied it, but Calista pulled out the gun used in the crime and claimed her fingerprints were still on it. She threatened to put Bonnie right back in prison if she didn’t cough up the money to pay her back for the cash she stole from Harrison. Bonnie insisted she didn’t have that kind of money but Calista pointed out the fancy home she’s currently living in and ordered her to pay up!

Longtime fans know that Bonnie is no saint, having covered up the murder of her first husband, breaking out of prison and letting look-alike Adrienne Kiriakis sit behind bars in her place, and lying to Lucas Horton that she had given birth to his baby! But Bonnie has been trying to be good, so the arrival of Calista in her life couldn’t have come at a worse time! Calista forced Bonnie to steal the million dollars in Xander Kiriakis‘ briefcase and determined to get the money and keep Bonnie quiet about the blackmail, Calista tried to shoot her! But in the struggle over the gun, it was Calista who ended up taking the bullet!
