DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Kyle Lowder Is Moving!
After 23 years of living in Los Angeles, DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Kyle Lowder (ex-Rex) has packed his bags and has left Tinseltown! A native of St. Louis, MO, Lowder made the big announcement on Instagram, sharing a pair of then-and-now photos marking the day he moved to the Southern California city as well as the day he left.
“First pic: 2000, Arriving in L.A.,” he captioned his post. “Second pic: 2023, leaving L.A. Moving to the mountains, and a really big lake. 23 years, what a ride. Been up, down, and everywhere in between. Grateful for it all. But as I always say, it’s not ‘goodbye,’ just ‘until next time.’”
Although Lowder, who also played THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL‘s Rick, did not go into details about exactly where he is moving to, the fact that he teased that his new home is near a mountain and a lake could indicate that he is relocating to Lake Tahoe. The popular vacation spot is about 500 miles North of Los Angeles and is known for its clear blue waters, breathtaking views, and a host of outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, boating, and fishing.
Lake Tahoe also happens to be where Lowder’s ex-wife, Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS), lives when she’s not down in Los Angeles working on the soap! Lowder and Zucker have maintained a close friendship over the years, co-parenting their teenage daughter, Isabella, along with Zucker’s fiancé, Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel). So, it would make sense that Lowder would want to live in closer proximity to his daughter!
The lakeside community is a place that Lowder seems to visit often, as evidenced by his Instagram feed. The last several posts he made before announcing that he was moving out of Los Angeles were both from spots in Lake Tahoe: Last weekend, he posted a beautiful selfie standing on the edge of the lake with the mountains behind him, and at the end of May, he shared a snapshot as he enjoyed a cocktail at the lakefront at Edgewood Resort. What’s more, back in April, Lowder was up in Tahoe skiing with his daughter Izzy.
So even if Lowder is moving eight hours away from Los Angeles, he could easily travel back to Hollywood if he’s called back to tape future episodes of the soap. But wherever it is that Lowder is now calling home, we wish him the best in this next chapter of his life!
