Mary Beth Evans Shows Off Her Gorgeous New Smile!

Self-care is super important, and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) opened up to her Instagram followers about a difficult decision she recently made for her physical health.

For the very personal post, Evans shared a collage of three photos that are close-up shots of her smile. The larger image is labeled the “after” shot, while two smaller square pictures labeled “before” show the actress wearing braces.

“I must confess that for the past 10 years, my two front teeth were loose,” she divulged. “Evidently as we age, our teeth shift. For me, this shifting caused my teeth to hit hard in the front, which made my upper teeth loose. My dentist kept giving me a hard time and then finally said, ‘Your daughter is an orthodontist. What are you waiting for?’”

Evans then began treatment with her daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Katie and Cory Nasoff. Initially, the DAYS star opted for Invisalign, which are clear aligners custom-made for each patient that aid in straightening teeth. “Admittedly, I am probably the most noncompliant patient,” she confessed. “The fact is, I hardly wore them and understandably didn’t make much process.”

At that point, Katie and Cory informed Evans that the best way to correct the issue was by wearing traditional braces for six months. “It was a hard decision, especially being on TV,” she admitted. “But I knew I had to finally take care of it, once and for all.”

Now that her braces are off, Evans is not only pleased with the aesthetic result, but the physical issues the braces solved as well. “Wow, what a difference they’ve made!” she enthused. “The braces fixed my problem, and now, in addition to no more loose teeth and a much nicer smile, I also no longer have TMJ pain and tightness.”

The beloved daytime legend also used the platform to remind her followers to take care of themselves, including what’s inside your mouth. “We don’t realize sometimes, as we get older, our teeth crowd, get loose, or our bite changes completely, and we need to see an orthodontist to correct it,” she pointed out. “We need to take care of our teeth, so we don’t lose them or have more troubles ahead.”

Evans then wrapped up her post by giving a shout-out to Katie and Cory, who recently opened their practice in Pasadena, CA. “I may be a little biased, but the team at The Ortho House saved my teeth and I’m forever grateful!”

While Evans always had a lovely smile, we think that it is even more beautiful now!
