Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso Return as Bo and Hope for DAYS: BEYOND SALEM!
Bo and Hope are returning for DAYS OF OUR LIVES: BEYOND SALEM part two! Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso will reprise their fan-favorite roles for the second batch of BEYOND SALEM episodes which will stream exclusively on Peacock from Monday, July 11, through Friday, July 15.
When Alfonso left DAYS back in October 2020, Hope went off in search of her presumed-dead daughter. And after Ciara returned to Salem, fans were hoping her mother would do the same one day. However, at the time, Alfonso declared that she was moving on. “It is now time for me to write my next chapter,” she said at the time. But it looks like that’s changed and the actress will be bringing Hope back to TV screens again… even if only for five episodes.
But bringing Bo back is a little more complicated. Reckell debuted back in 1983, and although the role was recast with Robert Kelker-Kelly for a few years in the mid-90s, Reckell was playing the popular character when he met a tragic end in 2015. Bo had an inoperable brain tumor and died in Hope’s arms, but honestly, in Salem, death is basically just a state of mind!
Like the first BEYOND SALEM, this new story will span the globe as characters like Marlena, John, Steve, Kayla, Tripp, Gabi, Ciara, and Ben head off on another wild adventure that will connect back to a storyline that should be very familiar to longtime fans.
“We are beyond thrilled to be partnering with Peacock again to produce a second chapter of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” executive producer Ken Corday said in a statement. “Being able to build off the storylines from Days of Our Lives to create another exciting series for the audience brings myself, the Corday Productions team, and the cast so much joy. I cannot wait for the fans to see what we have in store next!”
So make sure to mark your calendar for Monday, June 11, so you remember to tune in to BEYOND SALEM for Bo and Hope’s dramatic return… and whatever other twists and turns are in store! (Don’t worry, we’ll remind you again when it gets closer to the premiere!)
