The “Flashback Friday” episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL set to air on Friday, May 22, is the soap’s classic 52nd anniversary show that features the cast playing alternate roles as they take a look back into the past of Port Charles.
In this memorable hour, scenes from the very first ever episode of GH that aired on April 1, 1963, are recreated by some of the soap’s current cast members. Dr. Steve Hardy is played by Jason Thompson (Patrick), Nurse Jesse Brewer is played by Rebecca Herbst (Liz), and Dr. Phil Brewer is played by Ryan Carnes (Lucas).
Plus, fans get to see Luke’s origin story as the character’s portrayer, Anthony Geary, takes on the role of his abusive father, Tim. Laura Wright (Carly) plays his long-suffering wife, Lena, and Joey Luthman portrays young Luke. This was also Chloe Lanier’s first appearance on the soap before she joined as Nelle Benson, when she was cast as Luke’s sister, Pat, for the episode.
Enjoy this look into the past of one of Port Charles’ most famous characters as we uncover the secrets of his past to find out what made him the man he became. And beginning next week, GH will start airing some classic Nurses Ball episodes!
