Please join us in sending love to GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Adam Huss (Nikolas), who is mourning the passing of his grandmother, Rose. Just one week after sharing photos and a video from her 90th birthday party, the actor shared a heartfelt tribute to his grandma that included tons of beautiful family photos.

“My Grandma Rose loved the word exquisite and it’s the perfect word to describe her and how she lived,” Huss wrote. “She had nine children, 23 grandkids, and 30 great-grandkids. She loved each and every one of us in a unique and special way. She knew our birthdays, our interests, our significant others, and she somehow made each and every one of us feel important and cared for.

“She didn’t have an extravagant life but she always said she was rich with love,” he continued. “She made people smile wherever she went. She never missed a birthday, never missed giving you a hug and a kiss to tell you how exquisite and beautiful you were, and she loved you with every ounce she had. She could melt you with a single word, even over the phone. I know she’s in a beautiful place, with the love of her life, my Pop. But we will miss her beyond measure.”

Huss also noted that he has been seeing hummingbirds a lot since her passing. “As I do whenever anyone important to me leaves this plane,” he said. “And a friend sent me a beautiful passage that said hummingbirds only live two years because they live so ferociously and passionately they burn out their hearts in that time. Maybe that’s why now I’m seeing so many to represent my Gram. She loved just like that. So passionately, so deeply, so ferociously. May you all be as lucky as I to know a love like that in your lifetime.”

Our thoughts are with Huss and his family during this difficult time.
