Check Out Baby Cosette Abinante Starring With Zendaya!
Child star Cosette Abinante was just 8 years old when she joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Sam and Drew’s daughter, Scout Cain, in 2022. But the photogenic little girl is quite the old pro at being in front of the camera, as she’s been modeling and acting for most of her life. And in honor of Abinante’s Jan. 21 birthday, her mom shared a throwback commercial from one of the tween’s early acting jobs!
“Cozy turns 11 on Sunday so we are doing a flashback Friday with this hilarious spot she did with Zendaya when she was just 2 years old,” wrote Abinante’s mom.
The year was 2015, and actress and singer Zendaya was slated to host the Radio Disney Music Awards on The Disney Channel. The annual awards show, which ran from 2001 to 2019, primarily honored artists in the teen pop genre. At the time, the future EUPHORIA star was one of Hollywood’s hottest teens, headlining K.C. UNDERCOVER for The Disney Channel. To plug the awards, Zendaya and her TV bestie, Veronica Dunne (who played Marisa on the teencom), filmed several fun interstitial promos that aired on the cable network leading up to the big night.
In one of the ads, an excited Dunne tells her bestie that in honor of Zendaya hosting the Radio Disney Music Awards, they got “the biggest makeup artist in all of Hollywood” to do her makeup: BaBay. After a fangirl moment, the two actresses collected themselves to welcome the talented makeup artist into the dressing room — and in walked Abinante, who was just a toddler!
Clutching a pink bag full of cosmetics, Abinante’s “BaBay” declared that one of the two young women is pretty — but which one?!? — and then painted Zendaya’s lips with pink gloss. “She’s literally genius,” gushed Dunne.
Although it has been nine years since Abinante worked with Zendaya on that commercial and has grown up quite a bit, her mom shared that some things haven’t changed at all. “She still loves to do people’s makeup,” the GH star’s mom declared.
