GH Alum Briana Nicole Henry Reveals Her New Project!

Tags:

Fans were taken by surprise when Briana Nicole Henry announced she was leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL as her character of Jordan Ashford was written off the soap. But now the talented performer has announced her newest project, one she’s created with her husband, musician Kris Bowers.

“I’ve directed a series of shorts that will accompany beautiful music written by Kris Bowers plus more, played by the Los Angeles Philharmonic this Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall,” she revealed on Instagram. “You’ll also be able to hear the brilliance that is Yrsa Daley-Ward’s poetry trickled throughout.”

Henry shared a clip of one of the short films where you can hear the actress reading the poetry on the soundtrack. But as the music will be performed live by the orchestra, that’s all you’ll hear here.

Henry joined the cast of GH back in September 2018 when she took over the role of Jordan Ashford from Vinessa Antoine. However, in September 2021, her character was written out of the show and the actress confirmed that she had chosen to leave the soap after three years. And as her fans looked forward to seeing her back on screen again, it seems she’s taken a step behind the camera for this particular project!

“To say that I am thankful for all of the people that help Kris and I create this would be an understatement,” Henry declared.

The show will be performed on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. PT at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. For more information about the performance and to purchase tickets, please visit the Los Angeles Philharmonic website.
