GL Alum Kimberly J. Brown Joins the Cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL!
A new face arriving in Port Charles will be a familiar one to some CBS soap fans as Kimberly J. Brown joins the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL in a new mystery role beginning the week of Monday, May 10. The actress will be best known to daytime viewers as GUIDING LIGHT’s young Marah Lewis, a role she played from 1998-2006.
Brown has also appeared in the AMC drama LOW WINTER SUN and starred in the popular Disney Channel movie Halloweentown and its sequels. She can also be seen guest-starring in TV series like TWO OF A KIND, TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.
“I haven’t done a soap since GUIDING LIGHT,” Brown told Soap Opera Digest, “so I’m just thrilled to be doing something in daytime again. It feels like going back to something that holds a special place in my heart. It’s such a different experience as an adult, but it gives you that nostalgia and all the great memories of when I was a kid working on the soap.”
While GH is keeping mum on exactly what kind of character Brown will be playing, hopefully she’ll be sharing scenes with either Nina or Carly! “Cynthia Watros (Nina; Annie, GL) was my stepmom for a bit and Laura Wright (Carly; Cassie, GL) played my aunt,” she enthused. “It’s such a small, cool world!”
Stay tuned to GH to see who Brown will be playing and how her character will factor into the exciting storylines currently unfolding in Port Charles!
