Can Harmony Be Redeemed on GH? — Inga Cadranel Speaks Out (EXCLUSIVE)

Harmony did a lot of shady things as Shiloh’s righthand woman on GENERAL HOSPITAL. (C’mon — it doesn’t get much darker than essentially pimping out your own daughter to a cult leader… and then getting jealous of the attention he paid her!) But now that Willow’s mother is out of prison, she’s hoping for a second chance.
“At first, I thought there was no way this relationship could be repaired because there was so much resentment and anger,” Willow’s portrayer, Katelyn MacMullen, contended to Soaps In Depth. “But working with Inga Cadranel (Harmony) and seeing where the writers have taken it, I think it’s definitely possible. I also think that Willow understands that a lot of women were blinded by Shiloh. It’s easy to forgive when you’ve been there yourself!”

But Willow’s forgiving nature doesn’t change who her mother is — and just because Harmony finally realized her guru was a sexual predator and con man doesn’t mean she’s handled her own issues. “What I keep wondering with Harmony is, what made her go there in the first place?” Cadranel said. “At the beginning of Harmony’s journey, she was such a vacant, lost person. Once she had her eyes opened, I got the best response from viewers. They started rooting for her. But I don’t know what part of her is missing so much that she searched for this type of person to latch onto. I worry about that.”
While Willow remains on the fence about her mother, Cadranel has her fingers crossed for redemption. “I hope Harmony reconciles with Willow and finds her place in the Port Charles community,” she said. “I don’t know what that would mean yet. I don’t know what they’re cooking up there… but there’s definitely something.”
