Joshua Benard Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Tags:

Look for Joshua Benard’s Adam to pop up again on GENERAL HOSPITAL very soon! According to the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, the young actor — who is the son of Maurice Benard (Sonny) — will reprise his role the week of Sept. 11.

Benard made his GH debut back in November 2018 playing a young Sonny in a special “What If?” episode celebrating his father’s 25th anniversary on the soap. The standalone alternate-reality episode had the mob boss dreaming of what his life would have been like had he not chosen a life of crime, but instead became a police sergeant in his hometown neighborhood of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

In March 2022, Benard returned to the soap, playing a new character named Adam. A classmate of Josslyn’s at Port Charles University, Adam turned out to be a jerk who teased Joss about the sex tape of her and Cameron that Esme had leaked to the student population.

Benard checked back into GH that June, apologizing to Joss for being a sleazeball, and again in November. During that appearance, Adam ran into an anxious Joss in the dormitory hallway while she was trying to hide an injured Dex inside her room.

There are no details yet available as to what brings Adam back to the canvas this time. However, according to Soap Opera Digest’s fall preview, Josslyn will grow closer to a classmate this semester. Something tells us there’s a pretty good chance Adam is that schoolmate in question, and the budding friendship will put some strain on Josslyn’s relationship with Dex!
