Kin Shriner Reveals How He Keeps His GH Castmates On Their Toes (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

On set at GENERAL HOSPITAL, Kin Shriner (Scotty) doesn’t show his fellow actors what he’s thinking about a scene… until it’s go time! “I like to pull back in rehearsal and save stuff [for tape], because I like to shoot scenes in one take,” the daytime vet explained to Soaps In Depth. “If it’s a two-person scene and you’re sitting at Kelly’s, let’s roll and see if we can get it in one try. That way, you can throw the actors curveballs. It’s fun to keep it loose and just do it.”

Of course, you need the right scene partner for that! “A guy like Roger Howarth (Franco) is able to handle it and so is Maura West (Ava),” Shriner raved. “Other actors will be like, ‘I don’t know what to say. He didn’t give me the cue!’ Then you’re in trouble. But I love working with those two! I don’t think they ever know what I’m going to say, so I keep them on their toes — and they keep me on mine!”
