GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Laura Wright Admits She’s Considering Teaching (EXCLUSIVE)
When GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Laura Wright (Carly) began her training to become a certified meditation teacher last June, she wasn’t thinking she’d actually do any teaching. “My intention was to deepen my practice and learn more for myself,” the actress explained to Soaps In Depth. “I was excited to do it for me… but I had trouble seeing myself teaching, because meditation is such an incredible ancient practice and I couldn’t imagine I’d learn enough. I want to help people – I don’t want to scam people! So I’d tell someone to go to my teacher, davidji — who trained under Deepak Chopra and has traveled the world — because he is amazing.”
But since becoming certified in October, Wright now realizes it’s just a matter of time before she’s ready to share her own expertise. “What keeps coming to me, the more I learn and the more I meditate, is that I should be sharing this with the world,” she said. “So we’ll see what happens and how it presents itself!”
