Laura Wright Clarifies Her Relationship With Wes Ramsey
Soap fans are often just as interested in the personal lives of the actors as they are in those of the characters they portray. And sometimes that can lead to misinformation and confusion being spread around social media as it did recently with GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter). When the actress shared a photo of herself at a restaurant with her daughter Lauren (and Lauren’s boyfriend, Clint), fans took one look at the ring on her left ring finger and immediately jumped to conclusions. Unfortunately, they were the wrong conclusions.
The next day, Wright followed up that photo with one of her and her real-life beau on the beach where she clarified their official relationship status and set the record straight. “Yes, I just adore this man,” she shared. “However, we are not engaged. Just living in love and super happy.”
The couple can be a magnet for this kind of thing on social media, though. Back when Carly got pregnant on GH, Wright had to declare “I’m not pregnant” to make sure fans understood that the baby bump was completely fake and just for the soap. And during the first GH convention at Graceland, Ramsey teased that they loved Elvis’ mansion so much they were moving in, but some fans didn’t quite pick up on the joke.
