Nicholas Chavez and Tabyana Ali Respond to GH Fans’ “Insane” Gesture!
Soap fans are devoted and not shy about expressing their opinions, and that was extremely true for some supporters of Spencer and Trina on GENERAL HOSPITAL, or as they’re commonly known by the couple nickname “Sprina.” Portrayers Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer) and Tabyana Ali (Trina) were certainly blown away when their fans hired a plane to fly over the ABC studio with a banner that read “Nicholas & Tabyana, we [heart] you” and the hashtag “#Fall4Sprina.”
“Wow,” you can hear Chavez exclaim as he and Ali exit the studio to look up and see the banner. “Very cool.”
“We have the best fans in the world!” Ali shared on Instagram with photos from the day. “I’m still speechless and can’t find the words to explain how insane this moment was! This is going to be something I will remember forever. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
Some of the fans who were responsible for the plane flying the banner in support of reuniting “Sprina” were on hand at Prospect Studios to enjoy the stars’ reactions. “It was so nice meeting James Lott Jr., Walker, and Perry!” Ali enthused. “Thank you for sharing and spending time with us.”
“Sprina” became a fan-favorite couple on GH back when Sydney Mikayla was playing Trina, and she was also delighted to see that the love for the pair continues in her absence. In response to the video posted by the soap, the former Port Charles resident tweeted back a smiling face with three hearts emoji showing her own love for “Sprina.”
Currently, Spencer and Trina aren’t in the best place as she’s upset with him for not letting her know he was on her side while Esme was framing her for leaking the sex tape of Josslyn and Cameron. Plus, she’s also sort of in a new relationship with Rory, although she clearly still has feelings for Spencer. Heck, the guy went to jail so she would be acquitted, which shows how he feels about her!
