Ricco Ross Cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Dr. Sterling Robinson
Portia had quite a nice surprise when her family showed up in Port Charles to attend her wedding, including her father, Dr. Sterling Robinson, played by actor Ricco Ross, who joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL in the Feb. 7 episode!
If Ross looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen him in one of his numerous film or television roles throughout his career, which started back in the ‘80s! He may be best known for playing Private Frost in James Cameron’s sci-fi classic, Aliens, but he has also appeared in movies like Death Wish 3, Spies Like Us, Hackers, Mission: Impossible, and Wishmaster.
In primetime, the actor could be seen in shows like HIGHLANDER, JAG, BABYLON 5, THE PRACTICE, BEVERLY HILLS, 90210, ER, K.C. UNDERCOVER, and S.W.A.T.. And in fact, GH isn’t Ross’ daytime debut — his resume lists an episode of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in April 2000 where he played the role of Reggie Morris.
Curtis surprised Portia at their wedding rehearsal dinner by bringing her father and brother, Zeke, to Port Charles for their big day. Unfortunately, her mother was unable to attend due to her poor health. And Portia proved that she’s following in her father’s footsteps as he is also a physician.
While Sterling joked that it wasn’t too late to call it off, he clearly supports his daughter’s decision to marry Curtis. But how will he react if Stella interrupts the wedding to reveal the truth about Trina’s paternity? Stay tuned to GH to see what happens next!
