Finally, the secret project that GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry) has been teasing has been revealed! He will be appearing in GUILLERMO DEL TORO’S CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, a new anthology series from the Oscar winner coming to Netflix next year! “This is what I’ve been up to in Toronto!” the actor enthused on Instagram when the news finally broke. “Brilliant project!”
CABINET OF CURIOSITIES will feature eight sinister tales ranging from macabre to magical, including two penned by del Toro himself. Roché will be appearing alongside Tim Blake Nelson, Elpidia Carrillo, and Demetrius Grosse in an episode written by Regina Corrado (from an original story by del Toro) and directed by Guillermo Navarro.
Unfortunately, nothing more about the episode is known, from its title to its premise or who Roché will be playing in it. At this time, the only other clue we have is a selfie the actor shared back in late August where he is wearing an all-black suit and standing among tons of antiques. “Are you scared yet?” he teased. “You will be.” Was he standing in the cluttered prop room or might Roché be playing an antique dealer of some kind and this is his shop? Clearly, there are plenty more surprises to come!
Roché made quite the impression on GH fans when he joined the cast in 2007 as James Craig and was eventually revealed to be the villainous Jerry Jax back to cause more trouble in Port Charles. He continued to reprise the role in the years that followed, and his last appearance was in December 2015. After leaving daytime, Roché found incredible success with roles on series like THE YOUNG POPE, KINGS OF CON, GENIUS, THE ORIGINALS, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, and BIG SKY.
