Tajh Bellow Reveals Why TJ Is Using Crutches on GENERAL HOSPITAL

TJ was walking with crutches on GENERAL HOSPITAL in the April 27 episode, and it’s understandable if fans thought it was just part of his character’s storyline, but actor Tajh Bellow revealed on Instagram that he actually needs crutches in real life! “Today is my first day of physical therapy,” he posted to Instagram on April 20. “Let’s go! I completely tore my quadricep and haven’t been able to walk since the beginning of February. It has been incredibly challenging. I mean, it really freakin’ sucked. But the journey back to full health is that much closer.”

On GH, TJ had been kidnapped so Bellow wasn’t required to be on screen for a while, and after the character was released, he was laid up in the hospital recovering from his injuries for a while. However, he couldn’t remain in bed for that long, so Bellow has been forced to rely on crutches to get around the set whenever TJ can’t be seated.

Hopefully, Bellow’s physical therapy goes well and the athletic young actor is back in fighting form very soon. At least with GH having suspended production during the worldwide pandemic, he’ll have time to recover before reporting back to the studio to tape new episodes!
