Watch GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Powerful New Promo

During the beginning of the two-hour primetime special The Story of Soaps, ABC ran a special promo for GENERAL HOSPITAL showing why fans love it and why everyone should be tuning in to the drama every day!

It begins with shots of the hospital as we hear Epiphany say, “Plenty of bad things happen in these halls every day but there is always something good waiting just around the corner.” Clips of Jax romancing Nina and Curtis kissing Jordan illustrate the love, Spinelli boxing and Lulu spraying Brook Lynn with champagne demonstrate the humor, powerful shots of Ava, Trina, and Willow breaking down in tears showcase the heartbreaking emotion, and they use a shot of Jason blowing up a warehouse for the heart-stopping action.

“We rise together, we fall together,” Ned declares. “It all comes down to family.” And as the caption says, “this is why you watch.” The promo closes with Sonny and Laura agreeing, “Thank God for General Hospital.” If you haven’t seen it, you watch watch it right here.

With GH having suspended production due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the soap has run out of new episodes to broadcast and has announced they will be airing encore presentations of classic shows, beginning with some Nurses Ball drama on Monday, May 25.
