DAYS Talent Search Winner Named

DAYS OF OUR LIVES has announced that Alexander Bruszt is the winner of the soap’s Search For A Star competition. The 32-year-old Sydney native was one of more than 300 Australian actors who entered the talent search, and flew to Los Angeles earlier this month with two other finalists to screen-test for the chance to win a role on the iconic soap.

Bruszt (an alum of the popular Australian drama HOME AND AWAY) will play Fynn, a handsome, rugged Aussie doctor who arrives in Salem to do his surgical residency under the tutelage of Daniel. “This has been the most amazing time for me,” he shares. “I could have only dreamed of a role like this.”

The actor will return to the DAYS set in Los Angeles next month to begin shooting his episodes, which will air in time for the soap’s 50th anniversary in November.
