What Happened to Flo on B&B? — Darin Brooks Speaks Out
Wyatt spends most of his time on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL discussing his brother’s complicated romantic life, and it’s been quite some time since the guy has enjoyed any romance himself! Since he hasn’t said anything to the contrary, it seems Wyatt is still engaged to Flo, though she hasn’t been mentioned since June 2022 and hasn’t been seen on screen since July 2021!
Katrina Bowden made her debut as Flo Fulton back in January 2019 and was soon revealed to be Wyatt’s old flame from high school, which naturally positioned her as a spoiler for the relationship between Wyatt and Sally.
“Yeah, Flo was sort of doomed almost from the start,” Darin Brooks (Wyatt) told Soaps.SheKnows.com. “The audience had invested in Sally and Wyatt, then along came Flo, who was supposedly his high school love. So on the one hand, here was this couple people had gotten into being torn apart because of a romance that had happened years ago and they didn’t really know anything about.”
Flo’s position on the canvas was later deepened when she was revealed to be one of the Logan sisters after her mother, Shauna, took a DNA test and discovered Flo’s father was really Storm Logan. Unfortunately, even that wasn’t enough to dispel the taint on the character from her introduction.
When Flo first appeared on the soap, she was pretending to be the mother of the infant that Dr. Reese Buckingham was presenting to Steffy to adopt. (He’d actually stolen the baby from Hope and told her that she’d been stillborn!) “Yeah,” Brooks admitted with a laugh, “that was a hard thing for some viewers to get over!”
Although B&B’s executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell has said that he still considers both Denise Richards (Shauna) and Katrina Bowden (Flo) a part of the show’s cast, it’s been years since Bowden has appeared. (Richards made a brief appearance in an October 2022 episode.)
At this point, it seems unlikely that Wyatt and Flo’s lengthy engagement is going to result in a wedding, so it might be best if they split up (off-camera, probably!) so Wyatt could pursue a new romance. Then he’ll have more to do than just get involved in Liam’s drama!
