Hayley Erin Returns to Daytime!
Please join us in welcoming Hayley Erin back to daytime! Although unfortunately for GENERAL HOSPITAL fans, she’s not returning as Kiki Jerome. Instead, the actress is returning to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS… but not as Abby Newman! “I hear Genoa City is beautiful this time of year,” Erin joked on X when the casting news broke.
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Erin will be playing the newly created role of Claire Grace and is scheduled to make her first appearance later this fall. She’ll be a new hire at Newman Media, so viewers should anticipate her getting mixed up in all the intrigue and in-fighting there!
Erin began her acting career with roles on primetime series like MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE and MAD TV before making her daytime debut on Y&R in 2008 when the soap SORASed Abby Newman into a teenager. The actress remained in Genoa City until 2010 when the role was recast again, this time with Marcy Rylan (ex-Lulu, GH).
Erin then joined the cast of GH in February 2015 as a recast of Kiki Jerome, and portrayed the beleaguered young heroine until the character was killed off in November 2018. Though she did make a couple of appearances in 2019 and 2021 from beyond the grave!
After GH, Erin found success playing Taylor Hotchkiss on PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: THE PERFECTIONISTS, and recently starred in the independent feature film New Life. The actress also found love with Irish actor Adam Fergus and they tied the knot in 2020. The couple welcomed their twins, Maude and Juno, in 2021.
