Hayley Erin Stars in the Thrilling New Movie “New Life!”
Fans who are missing seeing Hayley Erin as Kiki on GENERAL HOSPITAL can look forward to seeing the talented actress in the upcoming movie New Life. “We got a poster!” she enthused on Instagram sharing the eerie image created by designer Akiko Stehrenberger. “And… drumroll… we’re premiering at Fantasia Film Festival!”
New Life is a thriller that stars Erin as a mysterious woman on the run and Sonya Walger as the fixer tasked with bringing her in. As their two stories intertwine, the chase escalates to apocalyptic proportions. The film is written and directed by John Rosman, who is also naturally excited to screen his work. “So many people helped transform this little movie into something special,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you all so much. I can’t wait to share our work with the world!”
The 2023 Fantasia Film Festival is scheduled to run from Thursday, July 20, through Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Montreal. And in addition to attending to see her new movie on the big screen, Erin is also excited because The Hollywood Reporter’s article about the event also reports that Nicolas Cage will be receiving a career tribute award at the festival.
“Also proud to announce that I’ve checked off “Be mentioned in the same breath as Nicolas Cage’ off my bucket list,” Erin joked. “If I’m lucky, maybe I’ll also be able to check off ‘What does Nicolas Cage smell like?’ Will report back.”
Erin made her daytime debut as a recast of Abby Newman on CBS sudser THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS back in 2008, and in 2015, joined the cast of GH as the new Kiki Jerome, replacing Kristen Alderson. Before her exit in 2018, the actress earned two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Younger Actress, taking home the trophy in 2019. She also made a brief guest appearance in August 2019 when Ava had a vision of her late daughter.
In 2020, Erin married Irish actor Adam Fergus, and in August 2021, the couple welcomed twin daughters, Maude and Juno. But despite raising her kids and living with the family in South Dublin, Erin still finds time to continue acting.
