Lauralee Bell Teases a Christine and Danny Reunion on Y&R

With Paul out of the picture, it’s time for Christine to move on with her life on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and a lot of fans are hoping she’ll reunite with Danny now that Michael Damian is reprising his role for an “extended stay.”

“I think that would be more likely than [a romance] with someone new,” Lauralee Bell (Christine) admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “I feel like Danny or Paul are her people, so maybe being back with Danny would make more sense.

“Even though I feel like Christine had this intensity with Paul, I always go back to that you just don’t forget your first love,” the actress added. “And Danny was her first love, so they still share something special that will always bond them together.”

There’s been a lot of water under the bridge since Cricket and Danny’s young romance, but who knows what the future might hold once Danny is back in Genoa City for a longer stay? When he visited in December 2022, Danny and Christine reminisced about the good and bad old days, so they could definitely reconnect on a deeper level if he sticks around for a while.

“Well, it’s not easy to go back in time,” Bell mused, “but I think it’s interesting when it’s the same two people and it’s years later and they’ve both been on two separate journeys. If they have this second chance, will it even work? Is that connection still there? So it could be fun and I think Michael and I would be excited to play that.”
