Listen to Y&R Star Sasha Calle’s New Single “Ex-Factor”
Viewers of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS know that Sasha Calle is a talented actress from her portrayal of Lola Rosales on the CBS sudser, but they may not know that she is an equally-talented singer! After teasing fans with a snippet, Calle released her cover of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” on Feb. 17! “A piece of my heart,” she shared on Instagram. “Patience has been a huge factor for me during the process of creating my first music project. Singing, writing, performing. It does something to me I could never explain. This song takes me back to a very bittersweet moment in my life. Where I fell in love for the first time and then felt like it was ripped away from me. My heart was hurting for a while there.”
Inspired, Calle contacted producer David Burris to help her record her cover in one take. “He didn’t ask questions, just said yes and gave me a time,” she revealed. “I’m sick of not showing you this massive part of myself. So we’ll start with Lauryn’s song as I continue working on my music. I love you and I hope you enjoy it.”
