It may be cold outside, but the drama is heating up in Genoa City on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as the New Year kicks off!

Tucker’s quest for revenge is far from over, and the Abbott family must circle the wagons in order to keep him from succeeding. “The Abbotts band together to protect the family legacy as Tucker’s revenge plot poses a threat to Ashley’s well-being and forces Kyle to make a choice,” executive producer and headwriter Josh Griffith previewed to Soap Opera Digest. And he’s not the only one picking sides as Audra must decide between Kyle and Tucker!

Jordan’s vengeful actions against the Newmans continue to have lasting repercussions for everyone involved. Victor attempts to support Nikki as she struggles with her sobriety, but it’s going to be a hard road back onto the wagon. And the newest member of the Newman family is going to find it difficult to be accepted. “Victoria and Cole navigate how to be parents to Claire and realize it may not be so easy to forgive and forget her past misdeeds,” the scribe warned.

Meanwhile, with Victoria taking a leave of absence from the company to deal with the Claire situation, Adam and Nick are forced to step up and work together for a change. “Adam puts his best foot forward in the hopes of winning back Sally,” Griffith teases. But will it be enough?

Over on the Chancellor and Winters side of things, Devon and Nate’s New Year’s resolution is to put their animosity behind them. “Devon and Nate agree to let go of the past in the New Year and start a new chapter at Chancellor-Winters, but is this easier said than done?” he mused. And how will Abby fit into the equation?

Plus, with Sharon launching her new company, Daniel torn between Heather and Lily, Phyllis trying to steal Danny from Christine, and so much more, there’s going to be plenty of drama ahead so stay tuned!
