Tigirlily To Appear on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

Genoa City is going a little bit country when the music group Tigirlily appears on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS on Thursday, July 22! “We’ve been waiting to share some super exciting news,” they shared on Instagram when the story broke. “We’re making our soap opera debut on Y&R on July 22! Mark your calendars! Can hardly wait!”

Tigirlily is made up of two talented sisters, Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, who named their band for the tiger lily flower that grew in the garden of their childhood home in North Dakota. The girls grew up in a musical household encouraged to sing and quickly learned to harmonize with each other. In 2013, 16-year-old Kendra and 14-year-old Krista made the decision to pursue performing as a career. While touring throughout the midwest, Tigirlily also showcased their talent to a wider audience on social media platforms like YouTube and TikTok. The sisters recently released a five-song EP that can be streamed on multiple platforms, and also have music videos on YouTube, like this one for “My Thang.”

On Y&R, Devon Hamilton owns a record label, so Kendra and Krista will be playing themselves as Tigirlily comes to Genoa City and encounters some of their fans there. Sadly, one of them wasn’t actually on set that day! “Amazing!” enthused Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) on their Instagram post. “Sorry I wasn’t there to meet you! I’m sure you had a blast!”

There’s been no word yet as to which of their songs Tigirlily will be singing during their appearance, so you’ll just have to tune in to Y&R and see!
