Y&R Alum Max Ehrich Stars in the New Movie ‘Southern Gospel’

Fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Max Ehrich (ex-Fen) can look forward to seeing the actor on the big screen in an inspirational new movie! He stars in the new film Southern Gospel, which is hitting theaters on Friday, March 10.

“I’m infinitely excited to announce my new film, Southern Gospel, is being wide released in theaters March 10!” Ehrich announced on Instagram. “Southern Gospel tells the inspirational true story of a rock star given a second chance to overcome his past.

“I hope this film inspires us all to never surrender our dreams even when obstacles come,” he added. “For us all to have more compassion, kindness, and grace towards ourselves and others for we are all growing continuously on our journey.”

The movie, inspired by true events, stars Ehrich as Samuel Allen, a young rock and roll star whose life comes crashing down around him, forcing him to fight the demons of his past to turn his life around and realize his dream of becoming a preacher. Y&R fans will also recognize another familiar face in the cast, Burgess Jenkins (ex-Billy), who plays the role of Tony Jacks.

Ehrich joined the cast of Y&R back in 2012 as the newest recast of a rapidly-aged Fenmore Baldwin. He remained with the soap until May 2015, earning four Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor during his stint.

Since leaving daytime, Ehrich has been focusing on his music career while also appearing in TV series like UNDER THE DOME, 100 THINGS TO DO BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL, and AMERICAN PRINCESS as well as the movies Bad Publicity, The Last Breakfast Club, and Walk. Ride. Rodeo..
