Brooklyn Rae Silzer Celebrates Her 10th Anniversary at GENERAL HOSPITAL
On June 14, 2011, everything changed for young child actress Brooklyn Rae Silzer as she joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL and now the teenager is looking back at her accomplishment in amazement! “10 years ago my life changed forever being cast as Emma Scorpio Drake!” she enthused on Twitter, sharing a photo of herself standing outside the soap’s studio side-by-side with a recent shot of her now all grown up (but still wearing pink!). “Thank you all for being so supportive of me over the years, and I am forever grateful to be a part of the GH family.”
Emma Grace Scorpio-Drake was born to Robin and Patrick Drake in November 2008, but it wasn’t until July 29, 2011, that Silzer made her debut in the role and made it her own. Much like her on-screen Mom, Kimberly McCullough (Robin), the young actress has been allowed to grow up naturally on camera and hasn’t come down with a case of SORAS and been recast with an older actor.
And McCullough was quick to comment on Silzer’s anniversary post and marvel at her achievement. “I’m so grateful for you my gorgeous, sweet TV daughter,” she enthused. Silzer responded: “Love you” with a bunch of heart emojis for good measure.
Although Emma left Port Charles with her parents when they remarried and moved away in January 2016, she has returned occasionally in the years that followed. Sometimes for the annual Nurses Ball, but other times to pay a visit to her grandma, Anna!
