There’s a new guy in Brytni Sarpy’s life! The actress, who plays Elena on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, recently brought home a playmate for her beloved rescue dog, Charli.

Sarpy shared with Soap Opera Digest that her big life change happened shortly after she returned from a solo trip to Paris over the holidays. “I just added a baby to the family,” she said. “His name is Oishi. He is Charli, my first dog’s, new brother. I got him as my Christmas present.”

So far, Sarpy’s two fur kids are getting along splendidly, she reports. “He’s been a wonderful addition. Charli is an old man, and Oishi will help keep him young.”

A highlight of Reels on her Instagram page features several adorable photos and videos of “brudders” Charli and Oishi playing together — and napping together in the same doggie bed!

Sarpy rescued Charli when he was a few months old back in 2012, and the Y&R star has wanted to add another pooch to the mix for a while. “I’ve had dog baby fever for a long time,” admitted the actress, who learned about Oishi’s litter from a pal. “When a friend of mine got this new dog, she told me it had siblings. So, I happened to see him and fell in love.”

The actress and model made her daytime debut back in March 2015 when she was cast in the contract role of Valerie Spencer on GENERAL HOSPITAL. Exactly four years later, she said goodbye to the ABC soap when she moved across the dial to explore a new opportunity on Y&R.

Although Sarpy has been absent from the screen lately, the actress and her character remain popular among viewers, who hope that Elena will be seen around Genoa City soon! In the meantime, follow Sarpy’s Instagram page for all the cuteness of her two dogs!
