NASVHILLE Renewed! — Will Jonathan Jackson and Hayden Panettiere Return?

It’s official — NASHVILLE is returning for a fifth season!

After ABC cancelled the primetime drama that stars daytime alums Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and Hayden Panettiere (Lizzie, GUIDING LIGHT), fan outcry was so strong that rumors immediately began flying that NASHVILLE was actively looking for a new home. And now they have found it on CMT, Country Music Television!

“CMT heard the fans,” said Bryan Philips, President of CMT. “The wave of love and appreciation they have unleashed for NASHVILLE has been overwhelming. NASHVILLE is a perfect addition to our evolving line-up of big music specials, documentaries, and original series. We see our fans and ourselves in this show and we will treasure it like no other network. Nashville belongs on CMT.”

CMT is also partnering with Hulu to ensure that all NASHVILLE episodes will be available for streaming the day after they air on CMT.

At this time, details regarding which members of the cast will be returning for the fifth season has not been announced, so it is unknown whether Panettiere and Jackson will both be back. But based on Jackson’s recent tweet, it would be surprising if he wasn’t!
