Patrick Gibbons Jr. Returns to General Hospital

A familiar face from ONE LIFE TO LIVE is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL for another appearance! Young actor Patrick Gibbons, Jr. tweeted a couple photos of himself to announce: “Just got back from hockey camp and California. GH and OLTL fans, Wyatt is coming back. Look out for Wyatt soon on GH with a little surprise.” And a month later, the young actor offered some more details, specifically which episodes to look out for! “Looks like Sept. 10 and 17 for Wyatt’s return,” he tweeted. “Also look for my big sis, Anna Gibbons, on with Genie Francis (Laura) on Sep 11.”

Gibbons also shared a photo of himself backstage on the GH set, giving a shoutout to his previous TV moms from OLTL, Kassie DePaiva (Blair, now Eve, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) and Florencia Lozano (Téa). But it was his mention that his “new TV mom is all Aces!” that got fans buzzing about whether Wyatt might be related to someone already on the canvas. However, when the Sept. 10 episode aired, it turned out that it was because Gibbons’ TV mom was played by his real-life mom! “So proud today!” he tweeted after the show aired. My real life mom and TV mom became one today. Mom never acted a day in her life until today and boy did she do great! [GH executive producer] Frank Valentini, you created a lifetime memory. My father is on cloud 9!”

GH fans will recall Gibbons’ appearances as Raging Racoon scout Wyatt Hoover back in June of 2018. The boy found himself caught up in Obrecht’s kidnapping scheme when he stumbled upon Peter tied up in the cabin and was instrumental in getting the poor guy some help. OLTL fans will remember him as young Sam Manning from 2010-13, though he obviously looked a little different back then! Gibbons’ GH stint reunited him with his former OLTL castmates Roger Howarth (Franco) and Michael Easton (Finn), who played Todd Manning and John McBain on the much-missed sudser.
