Soap Stars Appear in Jimmy Fallon’s THE LONGEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Jimmy Fallon has continued his soap opera spoof THE LONGEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES on THE TONIGHT SHOW and the latest installment has some very special guest stars from daytime television!
Episode three features some creative use of Zoom backgrounds, Vanessa (Kristen Wiig) presenting the baby she conceived through Zoom — now played by Jake Gyllenhall — the theft of a family fortune, and a violent act of murder! And as the characters gasp in shock at the dramatic twists and turns, they’re joined by some cameo appearances from ALL MY CHILDREN‘s Susan Lucci (Erica), GENERAL HOSPITAL‘s Maurice Benard (Sonny), and DAYS OF OUR LIVES‘ Mary Beth Evans (Kayla)! (Oh, and also primetime soap star Heather Locklear!)
“Thanks again to Jimmy Fallon and THE TONIGHT SHOW for having me,” Evans posted to Instagram. “It was a virtual blast!” Fallon has been producing the spoof to help raise money for The Actors Fund, which provides assistance to the performers and crew of the countless television, film, and live productions — including soap operas — who are currently unable to work because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lucci also shared a look at the full clip she sent into THE TONIGHT SHOW of “Erica Kane” reacting to the shocking events of the newest episode!
