DAYS’ Sal Stowers Is Engaged to John-Michael Carlton!
Congratulations are in order for DAYS OF OUR LIVES actress Sal Stowers (Lani), who has announced that she is engaged to marry actor John-Michael Carlton! “Been keeping a secret,” she teased as she shared some absolutely gorgeous images from their engagement photo shoot.
“On April 30, 2023, the love of my life got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife,” she revealed. “I said yes! Soaking it all in being engaged to this incredible and gentle man. Holding on to him forever and ever.” And she added an infinity symbol emoji for emphasis!
Fans might recognize Stower’s handsome fiancé from his appearances in primetime series like MOM, NEW GIRL, BULL, and BLUE BLOODS as well as in movies like Kept Boy and Kill Thy Neighbor.
Stowers first rose to fame by winning cycle nine of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL in 2007, and after appearances on shows like UGLY BETTY and NEW GIRL, focused on her acting career by joining the cast of the online revival of ALL MY CHILDREN in 2013 as Cassandra Foster, daughter of legacy character Angie Hubbard. She then went on to play Lani Price on DAYS in 2015, exiting in 2022 when the character was sent off to prison. Stowers is currently in the middle of another run on the Peacock soap, with Lani out on furlough due to the death of her father.
Naturally, the comments on Stowers’ Instagram announcement filled up with congratulations and well-wishes from fans and friends, including some of her DAYS castmates. “Hurray!” cheered Arianne Zucker (Nicole). “So happy for you both!” Lamon Archey (Eli), Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope), Raven Bowens (Chanel), and Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) also expressed their congratulations to the happy couple.
And like many, Marci Miller (ex-Abigail) was blown away by the gorgeous engagement photos. “Woman,” she declared. “Look at the two of you! Sheesh!”
