Remington Hoffman Opens up About His Final Days at DAYS

Li Shin met a violent end on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in November, but given that the soap tapes many months in advance, Remington Hoffman actually shot those final scenes at the beginning of the year. So it’s understandable that he forgot to give one of his co-stars a major shout-out until December!

“I should have posted about this photo and Deidre Hall (Marlena) sooner,” the actor shared on Instagram, sharing a snap of the two of them posing on the set of Marlena’s office. “Very few actors get to work at all (over 90% of our union is unemployed at any given time) so to have a career as long-standing as Deidre’s is something that I greatly admire. She welcomed me onto DAYS and was always a supportive and firm leader when I was on set.”

Before Li was stabbed in the back, he had a real breakthrough with Marlena, and Hoffman got to really dig into those scenes with Hall. “She texted me the night before shooting these scenes and asked if I wanted to come in an hour before anyone arrived at the studio to rehearse,” he revealed. “With how much she works and how long she has been on the show, for her to ask if I wanted to put in the extra time early in the morning shocked me. That’s leadership. That’s why she has the career she has and leads one of the longest-running television shows of all time.”

The actor actually debuted as Li on the digital series CHAD & ABBY IN PARIS back in October 2019 before joining the cast of DAYS proper in April 2020. And he’s very grateful to the loyal soap fans that he picked up during his time in Salem.

“Thank you to all the DAYS fans for the wonderful comments on my posts,” Hoffman expressed. “You inspire me to share more and work harder. I appreciate all the wonderful comments when Li was stabbed in the back… but you never know in Salem…”

Could Li come back from the dead? It’s certainly not an uncommon occurrence on DAYS, so who knows what the future might hold?
