Daytime Emmys 2020: Review the Guest Performer Reels

The Daytime Emmy Awards are less than two weeks away, and in the time leading up to it, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has been releasing clips from the reels that earned the nominations in each category. There are five nominees in the Outstanding Guest Performer category, and these are the episodes that these talented actors are hoping brings them the gold!

Elissa Kapneck played Sasha on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS at the holidays for just a couple episodes and she submitted the emotional hour where the single mother opened up to Nikki about why she felt she had no choice but to give up her baby. On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Michael E. Knight chose the episode where Martin represented Franco in court and savagely tore into Elizabeth on the stand.

Eva LaRue (Celeste, Y&R) selected the show where Lola’s mother tore into Kyle for hurting her daughter. Fellow Y&R guest performer Jeffrey Vincent Parise (Simon) went with the dramatic episode where he held Adam, Chelsea, and Connor hostage at gunpoint. Chrishell Stause (Jordan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) offered up the show where she confessed to Rafe about the existence of her baby boy and tearfully explained how desperate she was to protect him.
