Can Spencer Stop Victor on GH? — Nicholas Chavez Speaks Out!
When Victor set sail on The Haunted Star with his hostages on GENERAL HOSPITAL, it became a race against time to stop the villain before it was too late. And instead of waiting for someone to come to their rescue, Spencer is ready to take action himself!
He had originally thought that Uncle Victor was on his side, but now Spencer realizes that the Cassadine patriarch is only focused on one thing — his mission to “save the world.” “It’s a side that Spencer has never seen from Victor,” Nicholas Chavez admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “He’s heard about it from Laura and Cyrus, but I don’t think he ever thought he would go so far as to hold his own family hostage!”
Victor had been talking up his big master plan for months and months, and now it has been revealed that he’s plotting to save the planet by releasing a deadly pathogen that will decrease the world’s population to a more manageable level! “Every script he goes from bad to worse,” Charles Shaughnessy smiled of his evil alter ego’s actions. “He’s shooting beloved characters and kidnapping everyone he doesn’t shoot! He’s become malicious and vengeful.”
Of course, Spencer and Ace are still Cassadines, and Victor would never want any harm to come to them. “If he was to lose those two,” Shaughnessy explained, “Spencer and the baby, then in Victor’s mind, there is no future. There is no legacy for the Cassadines. So he has to protect them and keep them close at all costs.”
But now that Spencer is so determined to stop Victor from achieving his goals, his safety may no longer be secure. Plus, he’s just one man against Victor and his soldiers! “He has to find a way to outsmart Victor — and all of his personnel — in order to end up with the upper hand,” Chavez declared. “The odds are definitely stacked against him.” Good thing he’s got Trina and Obrecht on his side!
