Coby Ryan McLaughlin Reveals He’s Going To Be on DYNASTY!

When Season 4 of The CW’s DYNASTY premieres next year, look for a familiar face from GENERAL HOSPITAL to appear on the primetime soap! Coby Ryan McLaughlin (ex-Shiloh) announced on Instagram that he landed a role on the reboot of the popular 1980s drama.

“Obligatory setlife trailer selfie,” the GH alum wrote, captioning a pair of photos. The first snapshot that McLaughlin shared was of the door to his trailer. A note on the door indicates that the space inside has been cleaned and sanitized, per COVID regulations. Additionally, the nametag on the door reads “Dawkins” — which is presumably the name of the character McLaughlin will be portraying on the show. Additionally, the selfie which the actor posted showed him giving the “rock on” hand gesture.

DYNASTY was renewed by The CW back in January for a fourth season. An official premiere date for the new round of episodes has not yet been announced by the network but the filming of new episodes began in late September in Atlanta. As for McLoughlin, the actor has been keeping himself busy since his GH exit in September 2019. He was a guest star in an episode of HAWAII FIVE-0, starred alongside Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) in the Lifetime thriller Nanny Danger, and played the romantic hero in The Package, a holiday-themed short film for streaming platform PassionFlix.

Although the actor didn’t share many details about his DYNASTY gig — namely, whether he’d be guest-starring or had booked a larger role — McLaughlin did confess that he was having a great time on the set. “Having a blast guys,” he said. “Thanks for having me.”
