Longtime fans will not want to miss Luke Spencer’s memorial on GENERAL HOSPITAL. You are invited to join the residents of Port Charles in honoring the iconic character in a special episode scheduled to air on Friday, Jan. 21.
Viewers were stunned when Tracy returned to Port Charles on New Year’s Eve to reveal that Luke had died in a cable car crash in Austria. Although many fans remain convinced that without a body there’s no definitive proof that Luke is dead, the characters on the soap are taking it as fact (although some of them honestly should be skeptical, too).
Luke’s loved ones will gather at The Haunted Star, the floating nightclub once owned by the late Luke Spencer to pay tribute to his passing. However, being a soap opera, there will naturally be some surprise guests, and things don’t go exactly according to plan! Even as the town says goodbye to Luke, an exciting new mystery will begin to unfold.
Luke first appeared in 1978 and was originally slated for a limited run until portrayer Anthony Geary proved so popular that he remained with the soap for decades and earned a record-breaking eight Daytime Emmy Awards for his work. Fans were heartbroken when Geary decided to retire, and the character was written off of GH in 2015. So join Laura, Tracy, Bobbie, Alexis, Felicia, Anna, Curtis, Robert, Dante, Carly, Sonny, Spencer, Ava, and Nikolas as GH says goodbye to Luke Spencer on Jan. 21.
