GENERAL HOSPITAL Fall Preview!
November Sweeps are already in full swing, but co-headwriters Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor tease some more of the drama to come on GENERAL HOSPITAL in the coming weeks!
Victor has framed Anna for Lucy’s murder, but she has plenty of allies ready to help her. “Victor has sent Anna up a creek,” they explained to Soap Opera Digest, “but her friends — Robert, Mac, and Felicia — won’t leave her there. Valentin finds an unlikely ally to aid him and Anna in their time of need. Holly is involved, too, but is she Anna’s friend or foe? Robert has stars in his eyes when he sees Holly, but do those stars blind him to the truth of her return?” And now that she’s back in town, Laura is ready to take action to clean up the messes that occurred during her absence, forging “an uneasy alliance in an effort to protect her family.”
Carly and Drew have agreed to keep their new relationship on the down-low because of the threat of insider trading charges. And while Josslyn has already spotted the couple kissing, that’s only going to be the beginning of their troubles! “Nina catches Carly in a compromising position,” the scribes warned, “which could force Carly to come clean about some secrets she is keeping.” And even as Sonny provides assistance to a friend in her hour of need, he “entrusts Dex with an important task but it may just prove Sonny’s undoing.”
Nina has been concerned about the closeness between Willow and TJ, but she has no idea of the secret that the pair are actually keeping… and neither does Michael! “Michael has devoted a considerable amount of bandwidth to taking down Sonny once and for all,” Van Etten and O’Connor declared. “Unfortunately, this has left him missing out on the fact that something is going on with Willow. And those two aspects of his life collide in a surprising way.”
The secrets of Cody’s past will continue coming to light, which will unfortunately affect his budding relationship with Britt. “Just as things are beginning to look up for Britt, her past catches up with her,” the writers revealed. “The genuine feelings that Cody is developing for Britt seriously hinder his efforts to seize his birthright.” Plus, Sam’s investigation into Cody could impact her own life. “On Spinelli’s behalf, Sam continues looking into Cody’s past,” they previewed, “which may dovetail with a secret Dante has been keeping of his own.”
Nikolas may think he has things under control as long as he keeps Esme trapped in Wyndemere, but things are threatening to completely fall apart! “Esme is locked up in the tower and works feverishly to improve her circumstances while Nikolas tries to prevent anyone from discovering his prisoner,” the pair teased. “And he is also trying to keep his wife in his life. Ava has to make a decision about the future of her marriage and she is not one who is usually inclined to forgive and forget. Her choice will certainly be affected by the other secrets that Nikolas has been keeping from her.”
With those storylines and all the others going on this month on GH, Van Etten and O’Connor want to make sure fans don’t miss any of the drama… especially around the holiday! “There will be a very traditional GH Thanksgiving, with added twists,” they promised. “One story, in particular, will really catch fire. It would be a poor choice to miss those Thanksgiving episodes!”’
