GH Alum Sebastian Roché Joins the Cast of BIG SKY
Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry) on landing yet another juicy primetime role, this time on ABC drama BIG SKY! “Been having a blast on BIG SKY as Sheriff Wagy,” the actor told fans on Instagram. “He’s quite the character…”
The crime thriller, created by David E. Kelly, focuses on a private detective and ex-cop whose search for two missing sisters in Montana leads them to uncover a much bigger crime. Roché’s character is the Lochsa County Sheriff whose motives are questioned when his apparent hospitality and generosity end up obstructing Cassie and Jenny’s investigation at every turn.
Since leaving GH, Roché has found great success in primetime with roles on series like THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, THE YOUNG POPE, VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL, and BATWOMAN. He is also currently appearing on the NBC sci-fi series DEBRIS, so the daytime alum is being kept quite busy these days!
Daytime fans remember Roché fondly as the villainous — yet still somehow charming — Jerry Jacks, a role he took over from Julian Stone in 2007 and portrayed on and off over the years until 2015. Jerry isn’t dead, but is no longer in Steimnauer after he escaped the prison in 2019. So if the villain wanted to return to Port Charles to stir up more trouble — as soap villains often do — GH would probably have to recast, given Roché’s resounding success in primetime.
But be sure to tune in to watch when Roché makes his debut later in the first season of BIG SKY and keep an eye out for him on DEBRIS, too!
