James Patrick Stuart Shares a Classic Blooper From His SEINFELD Episode!

Tags:

Everybody loves a good blooper, and GENERAL HOSPITAL star James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) recently shared one of his on social media. Of course, it wasn’t a scene from the soap but a hilarious take from an episode of SEINFELD in which he guest starred back in 1996!

In the seventh episode of the eighth season, titled “The Checks,” Stuart appears as Brett, a handsome furniture dealer who Elaine falls for. While visiting Jerry’s apartment with her, Brett assumes that Jerry is struggling to make ends meet as he can’t afford any furniture by Karl Farbman and doesn’t own a fax machine.

In the scene, as it appeared on air, Jerry assumes that Elaine is going to their usual coffee shop for a bite to eat but Brett laughs and says he thinks they can do better than that. “You look like you could use a solid meal at a real restaurant,” he declares. And when Jerry starts to respond, “You look like you could use a…” Elaine quickly cuts him off. But as you can see in this outtake, Seinfeld kept going after the pair walked away, and what he said sent co-star Julia Louis-Dreyfus into fits of laughter! (Unfortunately, Stuart was already out in the hall so the camera didn’t capture his reaction!)

In addition to his roles on GH and ALL MY CHILDREN (where he played Will Cortlandt from 1990-95), Stuart has appeared in so many primetime television shows it’s hard to keep track! So don’t be surprised if you happen to be watching an episode of something like FRASIER, SPIN CITY, THE ELLEN SHOW, JUDGING AMY, NIP/TUCK, or GHOST WHISPERER (to name just a few!) and you see a very familiar face!

Heck, as his career has continued, Stuart has also been doing voice work for animated series like SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS, and AMPHIBIA, so you might even hear him, too!
