Kate Mansi Is the New Kristina on GENERAL HOSPITAL!
In shocking news, there’s going to be a new Kristina on GENERAL HOSPITAL! The role has been recast with Kate Mansi, who is best known to soap fans for playing Abigail on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
Lexi Ainsworth took over the role of Kristina Davis in 2009 after a series of child actors played Sonny and Alexis’ daughter. After her exit in 2011, the role was recast with Lindsey Morgan, but she only lasted one year. Ainsworth returned in 2015 and has continued to make recurring appearances on the soap since then.
However, this will not be temporary as some recent GH recasts have been. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Ainsworth last aired in the April 27 episode when Kristina attended Michael and Willow’s wedding at the Quartermaine mansion. Mansi has already begun taping and is scheduled to begin airing the week of May 22.
Mansi is best known for playing Abigail Deveraux on DAYS from 2011-16 and then again from 2018-20, earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations and winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2017. She has also appeared in primetime series like HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, SMALL SHOTS, and CASA GRANDE, as well as in movies like Maternal Secrets, The Office Mix-Up, and Legend of the Muse.
